Under the eyes is one of the most challenging areas to treat. Your injector will choose a filler that is specifically designed to treat under-eye hollows to avoid the Tyndall effect (the bluish tint under the skin). Teosyal Redensity, Juvéderm Volbella and Juvéderm Volift are ideal fillers for this area.

Lips

Depending on your desired results, your injector will use Juvéderm Ultra, Juvéderm Volbella, Teosyal Kiss, or Restylane Kysse. Most of our patients prefer soft, hydrated, natural results. They are rarely interested in the Kardashian/Jenner effect.

Cheekbones

Cheekbones typically need more volume, structure, and support. Therefore, a thicker filler (high G prime) such as Juvéderm Voluma, Teosyal Ultra Deep, or Restylane Lyft.

Jawline

The jawline needs more definition. Therefore, Juvéderm Voluma, Juvéderm Ultra, Juvéderm Volux, Restylane Defyne, or Teosyal Ultra Deep may be used.

Chin

The chin typically needs a thicker filler to create more projection. Juvéderm Voluma, Restylane Lyft, or Teosyal Ultra Deep are great options to add volume, structure, and support.

Smile Lines And Folds Around The Mouth (Nasolabial Folds)

Nasolabial folds begin next to the nostril and extend down to the corner of the mouth. Smile lines and folds around the mouth are typically caused by the natural ageing process; loss of bone and fat volume in the face. As a result, your injector may recommend filler for your cheeks before injecting your nasolabial folds. The cheek is the support structure for this area; without this much-needed support from your cheeks, your results may be less than optimal. During your consultation, your injector will assess the natural anatomy of your face to determine if cheek fillers are right for you. Juvéderm Volift and Restylane Defyne are great options to treat this area.

All are made with Hyaluronic Acid, which is a very safe and naturally occurring substance in the skin. Hyaluronic Acid helps the skin retain moisture, delivers nutrients, creates softness, and adds volume.

Hyaluronic Acid Fillers come in a variety of thicknesses. Thicker gel densities (high G prime fillers) are used to add volume, structure, and support in areas like the cheekbones, chin, and jawline. Your expert injector will identify the right filler for your treatment at the time of your consultation. Determining factors include your facial anatomy, the areas treated, the length of time the filler lasts, the cost per syringe, and the desired look you’d like to achieve.

Hyaluronic Acid Fillers dissolve naturally and gradually over time. Touch-up treatments are required to maintain results.

Dermal Fillers can be injected with a needle or a blunt-tip cannula. The cannula technique involves an initial injection site created with a needle, then a tiny tube is inserted at the injection site to distribute the product. Using a cannula can help to reduce bruising and swelling. All of the injectors at The First Glance are experts in both methods (needle and cannula). Your injector will determine which technique is best (needle or cannula) according to the type of filler and areas treated.

Dermal Fillers cannot be performed if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

To minimize bruising, please avoid alcohol for at least 48 hours before your injections. To improve the longevity of your treatment, we recommend that you refrain from gym workouts for 48 hours and avoid excessive heat (saunas, hot yoga) for 2 weeks after your treatment.

For optimal results, we recommend that you follow these guidelines so you can reduce the risk of bruising.

If you have a special event coming up, it’s best to have your fillers done 2 to 4 weeks before to your event.
