Dr. Avi Islur’s 5-Step Process
All of Dr. Islur’s patients go through a 5-phase process, from the initial consultation and pre-operative preparation, through to the final results.
1. Initial Consultation
Call us to reserve your consultation. On your consultation date, you will have an in-office visit with Dr. Islur to discuss your surgery in detail. Specific measurements will be taken, all of your questions will be answered and our Patient Advisor will provide you with a cosmetic surgery quote. Dr. Islur sees cosmetic patients at The First Glance Aesthetic Clinic and Surgery Centre located in Winnipeg, MB.
2. Schedule Your Surgery
You can book your surgery in-office (at the time of your initial consultation), if you need to check your calendar and get back to us, you can call us to secure your surgery date. A deposit is required at the time of scheduling your surgery. The deposit is needed to secure the operating room, nursing staff and anesthesia staff necessary for your surgery. The full balance is due 2 weeks prior to surgery. Financing is available.
3. Pre-operative Physical
A physical assessment by a general practitioner is required prior to surgery. Your physical can be done by your family doctor or a walk in clinic physician. This information must be sent to our surgical centre at least one week before your surgery date.
4. Surgery
Check into our surgical centre 1 to 1.5 hours prior to your surgery start time. Dr. Islur’s medical team will provide you with comfortable operative room clothing for you to change into. You will then meet with Dr. Islur in a consultation room to review and confirm the details of your surgery. After your pre-surgery meet with Dr. Islur, you will be brought into the operative room where you will be introduced to your nurse and anesthetist (if anesthesia is required). Once you are comfortable, your surgery will commence.
5. Post Surgery Follow Up
You will have scheduled follow up appointments with Dr. Islur after your surgery. All throughout your recovery time, you will have full access to Dr. Islur and his medical team for emergency calls and after hour care.
